Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is characterised by recurring intrusive thoughts, images, or urges (obsessions) that cause anxiety, and repetitive behaviours or mental acts (compulsions) performed to reduce that distress. These patterns can become time-consuming and may significantly interfere with daily life and relationships.
Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) involves a persistent preoccupation with perceived flaws in one’s physical appearance that may not be noticeable to others. This concern can lead to repetitive behaviours such as mirror checking, excessive grooming, or seeking reassurance, and may significantly affect self-esteem and daily functioning.
Hoarding Disorder
Hoarding Disorder is characterised by persistent difficulty discarding or parting with possessions, regardless of their actual value. This can lead to the accumulation of items that clutter living spaces and interfere with normal use of the home, often causing distress and impacting daily life.
Trichotillomania (Hair-Pulling Disorder)
Trichotillomania, also known as Hair-Pulling Disorder, involves recurrent urges to pull out one’s hair, typically from the scalp, eyebrows, or eyelashes. This behaviour can be difficult to control and may lead to noticeable hair loss as well as emotional distress.
Excoriation (Skin-Picking Disorder)
Excoriation Disorder, also known as Skin-Picking Disorder, involves picking or scratching of the skin that can result in skin lesions or damage. Individuals may struggle to control the behaviour despite attempts to stop, and it can cause distress or interfere with daily activities.
Our approach combines accurate diagnosis with tailored treatment recommendations to help you regain confidence and control.
