ADHD Assessments
We would like to explain to you further how we conduct ADHD assessments as it is different from the regular general mental health assessment.

The Adult ADHD assessment is divided into four different steps and three different appointments:
-
First appointment (60 min)
The initial appointment allows the psychiatrist to get to know you and understand your current difficulties and expectations you have with the assessment. If it is determined that your symptoms stem from another condition and not ADHD, you can choose to discontinue the assessment for a partial refund and receive treatment for the new diagnosis.
-
Second appointment (30-60 min)
On the second appointment the assessment will be conducted with a close relative of yours. This relative is of your choice, but the recommendation is that it is someone who has known you for a long time and ideally someone who was able to observe your behaviour and difficulties while you were a child, below the age of 12 years old. In this appointment, you can also be present, but it is not necessary.
-
Questionnaires
Several questionnaires will be sent out to you and your chosen relative by email. These questionnaires include the CAARS ADHD Rating Scale, UTAH questionnaire, ASRS scale, and CEFI Adult Comprehensive Executive Function among others.
-
Third appointment (30-45 min)
After receiving your completed questionnaires, we will book your final appointment. During this session, your psychiatrist will provide feedback, a comprehensive report, and outline treatment options. If you choose to start treatment, you will receive a one-month prescription, included in the assessment fee.
-
We aim to complete the assessment within 2-4 weeks. Nevertheless, the duration of the ADHD assessment can vary significantly mainly depending on the time it takes for both the patient and the relative to complete the questionnaires and send them back.
-
Of course! We offer a very comprehensive assessment with a total of 3 appointments. Each appointment has a price of 350 GBP, therefore the assessment has a total fee of 1050 GBP. As mentioned above, this total fee includes the three appointments, the questionnaires and their revision, a comprehensive report, and a prescription fee for one month if desired. If you decide to drop out of the assessment, you can receive a refund for any appointments you haven’t attended.
-
You can book your appointment online directly. The system only allows you to book the initial 60-minute session. After booking, our admin team, will contact you to arrange the remaining two sessions. Remember that the second session is to be booked with a close relative of yours, therefore, we may request your relative’s contact information.
-
If the assessment determines you have ADHD, the specialist psychiatrist will thoroughly explain all available treatments, including oral medication and therapy. If you choose medication, a clear titration plan will be provided and sent via email. You’ll receive a one-month prescription at no extra cost.
You will then be requested to have a review appointment (either a brief review appointment of 15 minutes or a standard review appointment of 30 minutes) on a monthly basis until the desired dose is achieved. After reaching the desired dosage, patients may request monthly prescription refills without requiring an appointment, subject to the associated fee. A review appointment by a psychiatrist will be requested every 6 months. Alternatively, they can opt for a shared care agreement at no additional cost.
We offer ADHD assessments to Children and Adolescents that are able to engage in an appointment held online from the age of 12 and above.
The Child and Adolescent ADHD assessment is also divided into four different steps and three different appointments:

-
First appointment (60 min)
Your chosen psychiatrist will assess the child or adolescent for ADHD. This first appointment will be a starting point for the psychiatrist to get to know you. Among other questions, the psychiatrist may ask you about your current difficulties, what triggered you to request the assessment, and the exploration of other comorbid symptoms such as anxiety and depression.
If during this first appointment with the psychiatrist, there is a clear indication that the symptoms you present are a consequence of another condition and not ADHD, then you will be given the option to discontinue the ADHD assessment. You will also be given the opportunity to be treated for the newly assessed diagnosis. -
Second appointment (60 min)
During the second appointment, the psychiatrist will speak with your parents to gain their perspective on your difficulties. The psychiatrist may also ask for additional information about your behavior and performance at school. If needed, the psychiatrist will request permission to contact your school teacher or principal for further details.
-
Questionnaires
After the two first appointments, several questionnaires will be sent out to:
- the patient,
- the parents, and
- the school teacher/tutor.
The questionnaires may include but are not limited to: SCARED (patient and parent version), Strengths and Difficulties questionnaire (school and parent version), Conners 4 (patient, school and parent version).
-
Third appointment (30-45 min)
Once your psychiatrists receives the questionnaires completed by you, your parents and the school teacher/tutor, we will be able to go ahead with the last appointment. In this last session, your psychiatrist will provide you with full feedback and a comprehensive report of the assessment.
During this appointment, your psychiatrist will also describe the different treatment options for you.
If you decide to start treatment, a prescription will be issued for you for one month. This prescription is included in the assessment fee.
-
We aim to complete the assessment within 4-5 weeks. Nevertheless, the duration of the ADHD assessment can vary significantly mainly depending on the time it takes for both the patient, the parents and the teachers to complete the questionnaires and send them back.
